Quartz sand is produced from quartz, a silica mineral. Quartz is the only mineral consisting exclusively of silicon and oxygen, with well-bonded ions which make it extremely hard. In building projects, it is primarily used in sand form. 

Quartz sand has diverse uses, as it can be utilised as an ingredient in mortar mixes to improve durability or as a hardener in industrial floors, in golf course surfaces, in sand-blasting or for decorative purposes. Available in various grain sizes and a range of colours.
